Making an impact on the world through your business
What kind of impact on the world are you aspiring to make through your business?
Companies who are moving towards their vision and accomplishing big things through their businesses are very thoughtful about WHO they need to communicate to (and with!) in order to get their message to the right people so they can fulfill their mission and purpose.
Having a big vision and achieving that is largely about getting your message to the people who need to hear it.
The question here is: HOW do you get your message to those that need to hear it?
A key answer to that question lies in your ability to get clear on your process that brings the right people into your business.
Often we think about big grand steps that need to be taken but actually, often, it’s the methodical smaller steps that make a big difference in whether or not your business gains traction in the marketplace and certainly how close to your vision you get.
What I’m getting at here is your ability to get very clear on your Revenue Generation Process (RGP) (ie. how your business makes money), the more likely it is that you’ll get your business to where you want it to be.
Revenue in your business is like water for your body. You need to keep it flowing, regularly, and consistently - and often more is better - or else we begin to suffer. A little at first and then a lot if we go too long without it. Revenue in your business is the same.
And, you can’t be around to impact the world the way you want to if your business is shriveling up from lack of buyers.
So, what does your RGP look like?
1) Are you clear on WHO needs to hear your message? Yes….if you make a real impact in the lives of others - they NEED to hear your message. (if you struggle with the idea of others needing what you offer, we need to chat…)
2) How clear are you on WHAT you do for your clients/customers, articulated from THEIR point of view? Not yours.
3) How easy is it for them to buy from you? YOU may think this is easy, but if you look at it from their point of view, is it really easy to purchase from you?
If you’re reading this and thinking - I’ve handled this already….consider the following:
IF you are not where you want to be in business, not achieving your goals, moving towards your vision, or struggling with revenue at all, chances are there’s something in your process that needs adjusting.
Your business vision may be big, but achieving it will come down to many many decisions about the smaller steps that help you refine the process of connecting you with your right customers/clients.
NOW is YOUR time,
